And there is only one. Price. This piece of art is not cheap. Costing around 300-350$ depend of the version, price is really high but believe me it’s worth every penny. I know it might be more expensive than your actual gun but damn if you have a budget and you looking for top quality stuff go for it!
Design
I can bet that if you put original sight and this clone side by side only trained eye can catch the difference. It’s nearly the same. You’ve got all the markings, Vortex logo just everything as it should be. There are one minor difference that I can spot. On the lighting system there is another regulation and basically that’s it. Rest is super high quality. Material is solid, all is made out of aluminium. Regulation working smooth, there is a killflash in the package. Just really beautiful and god damn amazing scope. It’s just looking sick.
Magnification and reticle
1-6 magnification is far enough for Airsoft. Not much deflection. Glass is clear and bright. It’s true 1x which is great. And talking about 1x. Illumination is so bright that it can be used as a red dot even if the full sun is outside! It’s great because quite often on Airsoft copies or cheaper real steel LPVO’s illuminated reticle is not bright enough for sunny days. Here it’s working great! 1/2 MOA regulation is precise and easy to adjust.
Holding zero
EG claims that it’s holding zero on 5.56 and it’s waterproof. I haven’t tested it out yet, but given that it’s from a reputable and well-known brand, it might be true.
Eye relief
Good, like in most LPVO’s around 5-6 inches on 1x. But It’s just slightly worse than in VicOptics S6 which has superior vision capabilities for it’s price.
But why it is so good?
There are many great but also cheaper LPVO. For example Vicoptics s6 or WestHunter scopes . But why this Vortex clone is so special? First of – design and overall quality. If you looking for nice designed durable scope for your build it’s something for you. There is no doubt this is just one of the sexiest thing in gun industry. But one thing stands out this scope the most. True 1x zoom and dot brightness. I haven’t seen one so bright yet in any Airsoft/Budget real steel LPVO. It’s just magnificent. So overall if you have money and you looking for good quality durable scope consider buying one! /Michal
