Yea! That’s right! A short review of the best sub-100$ red dot you can get!
But why it is so special? Well let’s be honest, most of the Airsoft sights are just piece of trash. They are dark, poor quality, dot it not bright, they often don’t holding zero even on the GBBR replicas. And they are most likely to cost under 100$. There is no Real Steal optic brand making anything under that amount of money. Or is there???
It is where VectorOptics coming in. It’s Chinese worldwide brand which making really high quality scopes and red dots that are made for shooters that are looking for budget friendly options. It’s also great for Airsoft 🙂 Let’s get straight to the main reason this article was created for!
VectorOptics Maverick family
There are 4 generations of Mavericks. I own third one for about 3 years right now! I had a bunch of Airsoft red dots before I got my hands on this one, and after that, I decided not to buy cheap optic anymore. I was blown away by the quality of that specially if it was in really good money when the price tag was almost same as other Airsoft brands.. There are 4 generations of this sight but I don’t see any reasons you should go over third one and pay more. This thing has super bright dot, it’s easy to adjust, it’s holding zero on 5.56 and feels really solid due to materials. I will describe each of this categories.

Glass clearance and dot brightness
I think the most important thing about red dots! There is 11 levels of the dot brightness. Where on level 7-8 it’s totally enough for sunny days. If you running on full sunny desert level 11 might help you but for most of the time I’m running on 7/8. Dot is 1 MOA large, and It can be regulated by 1 MOA per click. It’s esy to adjust you have really good protected turrets, and clicking sound will help you to regulate it really precise. It has small parallax effect and glass is pretty clear. Durability and holding zero!
Overall quality is pretty good. It feels really solid. You’ve got ”rubber” material outside which makes it nearly impossible to brake. QD mount is working good and stiff also it’s compatible with Unity mounts. There is lens protection coming with it.
And something special! It’s holding zero on 5.56! You can see a lot of YouTube videos where YouTubers testing them out. I’ve tested it too and after 200+ 5.56 shots it was still holding zero. For 80$ red dot it’s incredible!

Summary
For 100$ or less you can’t get any better option if you looking for something that will be durable and will hold zero on 5.56! If you are Airsofter you should consider that option too. Sure design is similar to Aimpoint T2 red dots. If you don’t like it there are other good options too but not many! Down bellow I will link some others Airsoft red dots that I think can compare somehow with this one. Quality is outstanding for the price tag and if you are real steal shooter you should consider that! It has also 5 years of warranty so if something happen they will send you new one. I’m using it with Vector Optics magnifier so it’s fire!
