Intro
Just quick disclaimer before we begin. It’s not paid review, I’ve got it on my own so I will just share my personal feelings.
If you looking for TOP quality clones of popular optics Evolution Gear is brand for you. I had a lot of scopes and red dots in my life and this one in quality is one of the best. First impressions was amazing. Embossed Trijicon logo, heavy solid stuff, clear glass – just WOW. If you looking for quality ACOG copy it’s definitely product for you. Costing around 140-200$ depend of the version you choosing but it’s worth every penny. I will describe everything down bellow and link where I bought it from is here 🙂
Glass clearance/reticle/optical fibre
Glass clearance and brightness is really good. If you compare it to this cheapest 60$ ACOG copies it’s on another level. Sure it’s not that bright as good quality LPVO however it’s bright enough even in the really shadowed forest. So big thumbs up for this.
Reticle is like in original one with working optical fibre. If you don’t know optical fibre in ACOG lights up your reticle without any batteries. The more light is outside the brighter reticle is. It’s super good solution, it will not be too bright in the dark forest however if you will be in the desert it will be gloving AF. Of course magnification is 4x 🙂
Zeroing. You’ve got two turrets with 1 MOA per click. You can easy adjust it and it will take less than 2 minutes. Simple, you can feel every click pretty easy so it will be precise specially for range 🙂
Trijicon markings
Just cool extra feature. Embossed logo, on the RMR you’ve got also Trijicon markings. It’s just looks super cool and overall quality is good. It’s heavy, feels really solid so I can’t complain about this stuff.
Real steal and waterproof test
Evolution Gear claim that it’ is shock proofed and can hold zero on 5.56. I didn’t check that out yet, but it might be true. About IPX certificate. I tested it out. You can check the results and whole review on my youtube channel link here. Result are interesting!
RMR
It comes with Holy Warrior RMR on top (anyway holy warrior is also great brand have their Eotech Exps) Which is really good too. Dot is bright enough for sunny days, glass is not dark, it’s holding zero on GBBR, adjustment is easy. You’ve got all the markings. What Can I say more? I had only one problem with mounting this stuff. Screws were little bit too short so I needed to change them from another micro red dot. Idk why they gave me bad ones but maybe it was just packing mistake. On my youtube video you can check how bright is glass and dot! Click here
QD mount
Just simple QD mount nothing special. Working good and it’s stiff on rail.
Eye Relief
Eye relief is about 2-3 inches. Not much, far behind LPVO’s where you have 5-6-7 inches of it but bright reticle and glass helping out. If you train for a while you will get used to it and it will not be a problem.
Summary
Yes it’s not cheap specially if it’s just a copy, but quality is far enough for Airsoft. It’s much better than cheaper stuff. It feels solid, durable and tough and everything look and work like in the OG one.
